Finally Spring Time!

Parker has really been loving the warmer weather.  Everyday he asks me to go outside.  He will grab my finger and pull me to the back door to go.  We have been trying to get some fresh air and let him play.  He has been loving going to parks just like his big sister.  Along with getting him to talk more we have made it a goal to take him and Akaila to 30 different parks this summer.  Does anyone have any ideas that are close by?

Report card

Last week we had parent teacher conference for Akaila.  Akaila received all 5’s on her report card.  She has been making stronger efforts on her reading and math.  In kindergarten she just had to show up because she already knew all the answers.  Now that she is in first grade she has to actually learn things and she has been frustrated at times, because it has been taking some work in learning the material, but with a strong effort she still got a perfect score on he report card.  So to celebrate we took her out to Chick-fil-A.  She does not really care about the food, but loves the play places.  This time even better they had someone painting faces.  A neighbor also has painted her face and she loves it.  I think it was a pretty good day for her.

Dinosaur Museum

Well, we decided to go to the dino museum at Thanksgiving Point a few weeks ago.  We REALLY needed to get out!  Clay was nervous about bringing Buddy Boy, but I insisted we all go.  It turned out pretty fun!

The other day Buddy Boy was misbehaving in a big way. Hitting, kicking, screaming, you know, the typical toddler fit. So...I put him in his room. He only cried for 30 seconds or so and then calmed right down. When I went in to check on him, I discovered how he'd calmed himself so quickly:

I am thrilled. I am euphoric!! Spring really is coming??? YES IT IS!!
