Baptisms and Family

Last weekend was a good one for our family. Uncle Reggie was in town! Aunt Michelle couldn't come because she was sick, which made Munchkin quite sad. She had a great time though visiting with Reggie. We had dinner (okay, we bought pizza) at Grandma's Friday night, and Buddy Boy actually willingly sat with Reggie! The fact that he was being bribed with the cat probably helped a bit.

Anywho, the next day a family friend and longtime buddy of Reggie's was baptized! None of us knew he was even getting discussions or anything, so it was quite a pleasant suprise. Munchkin was SO scared to watch, cause she's afraid of people drowning when they're baptized :-) So she watched in horror, and to her relief it was very quick. Afterwards she came running to me (I was in the hall with Buddy) and demonstrated exactly what happened!

Obviously the next day was Easter. Bad lady that I am, I didn't take any pictures. But the next day the kids had a good time playing in the backyard together. I'm so glad they get along so well! Buddy Boy LOVES the sandbox, and he loves getting bounced on the trampoline. Dad and I get lots of good workouts with them!

Buddy Boy 15 months old today

Buddy is 15 months old today. He is walking, but still mostly crawling. He will usually take five steps at a time. This was the second take, Munchkin's dress was open on her entire back so I had to make sure the hula was the only show. ~Dad

Princess

Grandma took Munchkin and Mom to see the Disney on Ice show. Munchkin was battling a cold but still had a great time. She came home with some pretty cool souvenirs. They took trax there and back and that was pretty exciting. A week before Disney on Ice, Munchkin and Mom had a girls night out and saw the movie Enchanted. Hopefully Munchkin is all princessed out. (Yea Right!) Today she registered for kindergarten. She loved looking at the school and wondering what all the kids were doing. I never enjoyed school very much, so I'm hoping she does. ~Dad

Outside Fun

We get Spring fever pretty quickly. This past winter has been so cold we haven't gone outside as often. I didn't have to work today so we told Munchkin we would play outside. She was so excited. First we planted peas in our garden, then played in the sandbox, then jumped on the trampoline, last we went on a walk. On the walk we found faces on trees. As you can see Munchkin was a little afraid of them. Buddy Boy enjoyed every minute outside as well. ~Dad

Baby Steps

Every now and then Buddy Boy will walk a step. We have been practicing walking with him, and yesterday he actually took five steps. I'm hoping by the time he is 15 months (2 weeks away) he will have it down. ~Dad

Here Comes the Bride...

Before I start with the post, I apologize now for the bad quality of some pictures...I couldn't get my flash to work half the time. With that said...

So last night we had a fantastic time. My gorgeous cousin Dawn was married in Logan. It was beautifully elegant, yet sweet and simple.

Of course it's always good to see family and visit, catch up, explain to Munchkin how the heck I'm related to SO many people, and the like. Munchkin and Buddy Boy both had a lot of fun visiting with their new found "1st cousins once removed" and second cousins. They also enjoyed showing Aspen how to work her wheelchair, cause you know, 5 and 1 year olds are experts! And there are SO MANY BABIES in our family now! Oh my gosh, there's Haven and Hugh, Anaston, Hayley, and Buddy Boy. And Brienne, Bret's wife is expecting in June, although the baby is DEFINITELY coming in May. It's so fun to watch the family grow!

There was definitely a highlight to the evening for Munchkin. Everyone who knows Munchkin is aware how MUCH she loves weddings. She followed Dawn everywhere. As soon as the guy said "You may now kiss as husband and wife" Munchkin squealed with delight and said "This is it!" They kissed, and Munchkin's heart melted, for they had just been married:-) Then she whispered to me, "So when is she going to throw the bouquet?" HOW in the world she even knows about the bouquet throwing, I'll never know, but come on, she's 5 years old, she's not gonna get to participate, right? Wrong. Here are all the girls lined up waiting.

And just who was the lucky girl to catch it? You guessed it.

All in all, a great night for everyone! The drive home was even nice in it's own way. All that haze sure does make for a beautiful backdrop!

Congratulations Dawn and Chad!
