Each year we have an annual Pioneer Day Parade. We begin the activity with a flag raising, and then serve breakfast. ALL members of the neighborhood, members or not, adult, children, etc are invited.

After breakfast we have a parade through the neighborhood. The children decorate bikes, wagons, scooters and more and take them around. We've got a guy in our bishopric who is a UHP trooper, so he leads the pack with sirens and lights.

Well, this year we got a special treat. Some of our local firefighters came in their truck to visit the kids and tell them about themselves and their jobs. The kids were able to tour the truck and ask questions.

Akaila asked a few questions, one of them being, "can I get a picture with you?" They happily obliged. It was a lot of fun.
